If you’re thinking of joining an exercise class but are not sure what to do, Applemore health and leisure has just the job.
Applemore is holding a GEP (group exercise programme) taster session on Wednesday May 17 from 6pm to 9pm, allowing you to pick and mix your way to fitness fun.
For just £5 you can try out a range of exciting classes, including spinning, body sculpt, boxercise, group rowing and aquarobics, so you can decide which ones you like best.
The fun starts at 6pm with a group warm up exercise and after that it’s up to you which classes you try, with activities changing over every 30m minutes.
Applemore’s friendly and qualified instructors will be on hand to give advice and take you through the motions of the different sessions.
Half the money raised will go the charity Cancer Research so you can be sure your money is also going to a good cause.
There’s no need to book ahead but you’re advised to come early as the event is likely to be popular.
“This is a great opportunity to find out about all the wide range of group exercise classes on offer at Applemore,” said Cllr Barry Rickman, NFDC’s portfolio holder for leisure. “Sometimes you don’t know what’s involved in an exercise class or how much you might enjoy it – with our taster evening you can have a go at several different types of exercise and see which ones suit you best.”
