It has come to the attention of Hampshire Trading Standards Service that a security company is currently telephoning residents in the New Forest area of Hampshire offering to come out and survey properties for security purposes, ie burglar and smoke alarms.
It has been suggested that this company use high pressure sales and may even offer the equipment “free” but only if customers sign up to a costly monitoring agreement.
Please be on your guard about these types of cold callers either over the telephone or on your doorstep.
